In Florida what's the closest hotel/inn/motel to disney in Florida and the least expensive?

The cheapest motels close to Disney are on highway 192 either east or west of the Disney south entrance (although you couldn't walk in)





The actual closest is the Knights Inn Maingate where you should be able to get a room for under $40 - they have a shuttle to Disney that goes a couple times a day and the rooms are very basic but clean enough.





The cheapest hotel on the Disney lot is the Pop Century and costs from around $85 for this you get access to Disney transport and the rooms and public areas are generally nicer than a cheap motel.

close and inexpensive are relative terms. The closest hotels are the Disney parks and the all star resorts are similar in cost to those outside the park - except there is better transportation and extra features like extra hours at the parks for Disney Guests.





I've stayed at a Days inn that is at the end of Buena Vista Drive and it was low cost BUT bus transport (that you paid for) was iffy and if you wanted to come back to the hotel say for lunch - nonexistent.
