Motels are about being able to drive in and out easily...often there is a restaurant nearby, but generally not PART of the hotel, and usually not with room service. Services are lower quality, and there are fewer of them.
Hostels are pretty bare bones, and mostly only in Europe. They are, more or less, the European version of a Motel, because in Europe, people don't just pack the family into the car and go driving around the country/continent...they get on trains and don't need parking lots. They do tend to be sparer than motels in the US, and also, although they have largely modified them, until not long ago, most had shared bathrooms, rather than an ';ensuite'; bath (in the room). What's the difference between a motel, a hotel and a hostel?
PRICE. Hotels are usually 80 dollars and up a night. Motels are usaully 30 to 80 dollars a night. And I think most Hostels are free of charge. What's the difference between a motel, a hotel and a hostel?
