Motel = Moter + Hotel. On highways or on long trip Hotels on roadside are simply known as motels, you can get hotels anywhere in city. When you are tired or feel hungry you can go to motel with your moter while on journeyWhat is motel and how it is different from hotel. What are the benefits and qualities of both.?
Generally motels cost less, and offer less than hotels.

If a motel has a pool, often it is outdoors.

Usually motels do not have a restaurant.

Top hotels (5 star) provide full services, an exercise room, an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, a spa, massage, a barber, shoe polishing, laundry and dry cleaning, valet parking, a concierge, a door man, porters, a fine dining restaurant, a bar, room service. They will pamper you, but for a fee, or a hire room rate than a hotel.
Motels come from the concept in America of Motor hotels....they were built for travelers, especially in smaller towns.

They might be best described as a rest hotel for travellers in cars...as opposed to railway hotels, which do the same thing for train travellers.

They are often built outside of the towns, so the land is cheaper, so you get a better room for less money.

But they are inconvenient unless you are travelling by car.

But motels meanings change depending on where you are. In Korea motels are just like hotels.

In australia, so motels are like hotels with a big car park at the front, while the classic US motel lets you park you car right out the front of your room.

Many motels are the perfect place for families, they have facilities such as pools and BBQ areas. It is easy to get a room with a kitchen, so good for a longer stay with family to save money.

What you choose depends on you. Motels are great for the road traveller and you can find them as you travel. Motels in smaller towns are often the best option.

While hotels, are often right in the centre of cities and are better for the cities or travellers without a car.
motels are cheaper by a long shot and i hate to say itt but they tend to be dirtier too, they dont have as good of service as hotels and idk if they have room service. hotels are really nice and have good food. motels also usually dont have pools indoor or out. you definately will find different types of people at motels than hotels. and hotels have vallet. i like hotels way better and i dont know of anyone that feels differently. oh and everything in hotels are better quality (the shower, beds, televisions etc.)
In hotels you get a room [with maybe ensuite] on whatever floor you're given.

In motels you get same but you are usually on the ground floor and you get to park your car outside your room.

Hotels usually have room service and maybe a bar - motels sometimes have room service but no bar.
Motel typically has a doorway directly to the outdoors, and tend to have less amenities, and be cheaper. Hotels have the doorways into the hallways, and usually offer more amenities, such as a pool, workout room, but do cost more money.
Motels are generally on Highways and used by Motor owners during their travels. Motels are cheaper and have less facilities than Hotels.
Motel is same but it is smaller then hotel. The charges of motel is lesser then hotel
the only difference is a motel offers better parking,

hotels are better as they usually have a pub underneath.
Motel is where you can park your car within your hired place. No need to go to desginated parking lot.
hotels have hallways motels you park outside your room
