Hotels are generally more expensive and have better service/amenities.Whats the diffirence in a motel and a hotel.?
A motel is geared towards motorist who are traveling as a place to rest your head in between destinations. A hotel would be where you would stay on a vacation.Whats the diffirence in a motel and a hotel.?
Hotels are cleaner, nicer, bigger, more amenities, and expensive sometimes.


Motels are smaller, maybe dirtiet, not alot of things to do, and cheap.
Motel, short for Motor hotel. Usually a row of single 1 room cabins that you stayed in for one night on the road while traveling. A hotel is a multi level multi room in a city or resort. That was in the 30s-70s. now there isn't much difference
Motel [short for motor-hotel]: You park and access your own room from outside.


Hotel: Everyone enters through a central lobby.

Expect services such as bellman, concierge, valet, room service and similar, which are generally not offered in motels.





Other general lodging facilities are Inns, Bed and Breakfasts, and Resorts. Newer ';boutique'; style hotels are becoming a popular trend.
