Difference between hotel and motel?

The biggest difference I see between a motel and hotel, is that a motel has outside door entrances to your rooms. A hotel has one main entrance to the hotel and then you proceed indoors to your room which can only be accessed from inside the hotel. I myself prefer the motel. If there is a fire, I know I can leave the building immediately! In a hotel you must go through hallways, down steps, elevators perhaps, just to get outside!Difference between hotel and motel?
Motel comes from Motor Hotel. In a Motel you drive can right up to your room or cabin or park in a close proximity.

Hotel is just any commercial establishment (business) offering temporary lodging or rooms for a fee.Difference between hotel and motel?
one starts with an ';h';, the other with an ';m';
Hotels are usually slightly a bit better than a motel. Motel is actually a combined word of ';motor'; and ';Hotel'; for the general traveler while Hotels are usually thought of as being posh or ritzy.
Motel we can call dhaba (road side) chief and best.This is for a short stay.Hotel means food and shelter.Sometimes it will eat your purse.
