Seriously, what's the difference between Hotel and Motel?

Besides the first letter, haha!Seriously, what's the difference between Hotel and Motel?
Motels have rooms that open to the exterior of the building, e.g directly towards a car park ( you can park your car in front of your room) whereas hotels have rooms that open to the interior, e.g in hallways. Motels also have a limited number of services compared to hotels, which offer services such as spas and gyms. Hotels are situated in/near cities, rather than Motels which are usually situated in countryside areas.Seriously, what's the difference between Hotel and Motel?
A motel is a Motor Hotel, originally they were geared toward travelers for one or two nights. A hotel is geared toward a longer stay such as a vacation.
Hotel's are usually bigger, more luxurious, have more amenities, and are more expensive.

Motels are usually cheaper, smaller and just have the basic amenities
motels u have ur own entrance. like u dont walk into a lobby. u have a outdoor entrance. hotels u have a indoor entrance. i think hotels are more fancy.
Motel = room entrance from the outside

Hotel = Room entrance from the inside.
Hotel usually has more than 1 story.

Motel usually is ground level.
Hotels are usually more fancier and usually have more stories.

Motels are cheap.
Hotel= Fancy and overpriced

Motel= Cheap and dumpy
Hotel=nicer, Motel=crappy
you stay for a long time in a hotel

in a motel u only stay in daytime or for 1 night
...and the holiday inn

if you girls don't participate,

then i'ma take a friend.
Hotel has a ';H'; and Motel has a ';M';.

lol
Motels are low- budget, and they are all on one floor. Hotels cost more, and have a bunch of floors!
motels are cheaper
some look better than others and

have more stuff..........I'm guessing
Hotel you have to book a room earlier before you show up and is typically more classy and cleaner
