LOL :)What is d difference between a hotel and a motel?
The term ';motel'; is derived from the term ';motor hotel,'; which originally meant that the hotel provided parking.A motel, first derived most likely as a combination of the words ';motor hotel,'; is best described as a one to three story structure with rooms that open to the exterior of the building, usually surrounded by a common balcony or patio.A hotel has rooms that open to the interior of the building, along a hallway, and is multi-storied. Make use of your search engine, and online dictionaries...I've always thought of the difference the same as Josh S but I looked it up for you on dictionary.com:
motel: ';a hotel providing travelers with lodging and free parking facilities, typically a roadside hotel having rooms adjacent to an outside parking area or an urban hotel offering parking within the building.';
hotel:';a commercial establishment offering lodging to travelers and sometimes to permanent residents, and often having restaurants, meeting rooms, stores, etc., that are available to the general public.';
Hotels are more expensive and have more amenities...motels are cheaper and just somewhere to lay your head (where cockroaches may crawl on it. ) You should also make a reservation at hotels, and maotels are walk in and more hotels have frequent business guests and reward cards.
the size of the beds and the price of the room oyes and the size of the tv.
MOtel motor hotel (park in front of 'cabin'
hotel central entry and lobby
that's it
Hotels are bigger plus there have more to offer.Motels are smaller and do not offer as much plus are cheaper in price most of the time.
motel is cheaper. Coz unlike hotels, motel has lesser services to offer.
hotel you have to go inside for to access your room and a motel you have an outside access.
