If you want the best, you will want to go with a hotel. They are usually newer, more updated, etc. Motels are small, usually only one story, sometimes two. They are usually older, you park your car right out front of your room and corridors are outside (the only thing that comes to mind for you to visualize a motel is the Bates Motel, maybe not a good example, but that gives you an idea).
Hotels are usually newer, more updated, a little more expensive. They usually have a little more on-site for you, like a restaurant. They are several stories, usually indoor-corridors.
So if you are wanting the best, hotels are going to be the best. Resorts are also great. Just look with something like Trip Advisor to get some reviews, price doesn't always mean that it is the best.
Hope this helps! What is the difference between a motel and hotel going on a trip want best?
Belive it to be the building, one level Motel, higher, Hotel. Also, Motel your car is right out your door.
If you just want to take a shower, watch a little TV, and get some sleep, then a motel is for you. You have free parking very near your room in a motel. Motel offices usually close late night/early morning. Some give you a free continental breakfast. The breakfasts can range from wonderful (fresh juice, variety of rolls, cheeses, fresh fruits) to god-awful (instant coffee, corn flakes, skim milk).
For a long term stay, you might want a hotel, which will offer more services. Hotels have food and cocktails available, often for delivery to your room. Conference, banquet, and business facilities are usual as are recreational amenities, like a putting green and fitness room, and conveniences like a gift/notions shop. Staff is on duty 24/7. Some hotels charge a fee for parking or have valet parking.
Motor Inns try to be a little of both. They may have conference of banquet facilities. They may have food and beverage service. They may have free by-your-room parking. Then again they may not. Motor Inns should make up their minds and be either hotels or motels so that we know what to expect.
hotel are usually nicer and have some kinda service
motels have no service
onescheaper than the other and one you get luxury the oyher you get what you pay for
motels are cheaper, thats where hookers go........plus they dont have like breakfast and accomadatrions like atht.....hotels do....and they r a lot nicer
