What's the difference between ';hotel'; and ';motel?'; And what's the difference between a ';mouse'; and a ';rat?';?

Silly question but, seriously, I've always wondered about this for many years. ...

What's the difference between ';hotel'; and ';motel?';

What's the difference between a ';mouse'; and a ';rat?';

What's the difference between ';stillettos'; and ';pumps?';

THANKS! :)What's the difference between ';hotel'; and ';motel?'; And what's the difference between a ';mouse'; and a ';rat?';?
Motel is a term that was coined when people started taking trips in automobiles -- it meant ';motor hotel'; and was a place on a highway where a motorist could stop to sleep for the night before continuing on. A hotel provides more services to the guests, who usually stay longer than just one night.

Pumps are closed shoes with heels. The heels may be low or high. Stilettos are open or closed shoes with very high, narrow heels (which resemble stilettos).

I never cared for biology or zoology, so don't know the difference between a rat and a mouse except that a mouse is smaller.What's the difference between ';hotel'; and ';motel?'; And what's the difference between a ';mouse'; and a ';rat?';?
Motel-They are built horizontal (across)

Hotel-They are built vertical (up)

Mouse-Smaller, different colors, live shorter, different habitat

Rat-Bigger, different colors, live longer, different habitat.
hotel is more than one floor and usually better quality but more expensive and a motel is one floor and is usually crappy
I've always thought stilletto heels were thin and long and pumps are wide and or fat and long.

The Sugarhill Gang are the experts on hotel/motel.
Mouse is smaller and rats are bigger. Motels are dirty and nasty and hotel are nice and clean.
Hotels are larger and fancier than motels usually.

Rats are larger than mice.

I have no idea about shoes...those are kinds of shoes right?
About $20
