Whats the differenece between a hotel and a motel??

i want 2 know whats the difference between a motel and a hotel and an inn ...??Whats the differenece between a hotel and a motel??
a motel is a drive by, off a motorway. hence the name motel cheap and cheerful. hotel is a bit up market, their namely in towns and cities.Whats the differenece between a hotel and a motel??
An inn is a hotel in a rural setting, a hotel requires you have luggage, a motel needs only your plate number and you address and signature.
Hotels have room service, restaurants, valet service, Concierge etc and Motels only have the room, and usually no restaurant...

Take care..

generally..motel rooms open to the outside

hotel rooms open into a hallway...

there may be other differences...this is one of them
an ';H';
dont know maybe because you can park inside the motel
A hotel is built up height wise hence the ';H'; so it is built taller, while a motel is built width wise hence the ';M'; shape it uses because it is built outward and is usually not more than two or three levels.
